Our clients' safety and well-being is of the utmost importance to us. To this end, we have established the following guidelines for days when traveling is potentially unsafe due to snow, ice, wind storms, dust, etc.
Check your email and voicemail before you drive to our office. If your therapist is not able to make it to the office, they will contact you via email, voicemail, or both. If you do not hear from us, then we are expecting to see you on time for your appointment.
If you have not heard from us, but you do not feel safe driving to our office, please email your therapist as early as possible. We will very likely be busy trying to juggle clients to accommodate those who can and those who cannot make their appointments. Please do not leave a voicemail at our main number in this situation; emails reach your therapist faster than a voicemail left at our main number.
If either the therapist or the client are not able to make it to the office for the scheduled appointment, it is likely that we will offer you a live video appointment instead. While "telehealth" appointments may not be ideal for some clients, they may be better than missing an appointment entirely. Our telehealth platform is very easy to use - we just send you a link that you can click from your computer - no logins, passwords or hassle. (Or you may use the Telehealth by SimplePractice app on your cell phone.) Almost all insurance plans cover a telehealth appointment the same as they cover an in-person appointment.
